hello, i need tips for being a center (position in football)?
alright im playing center in the high school, but i need tips and how to block and shit, if you play center or coached center before, please tell me the tips or anything that you could give me to help be better in center, thanks
1. Wear a cup. The harder you can slam that ball into the QBs hands, the better. If he drops it, it’s his fault, not yours. Wear a cup so you can snap hard. You’ll get bruises on your wrists, but not on your ‘nads.
2. Snap with 2 hands if your coach will allow it. A firmer snap will ensure a better transfer. Some coaches prefer the one-handed snap, with your off-arm resting on your thigh, but a 2 hand snap will deliver the ball more surely. In addition, the 2-handed snap throws your balance forward to add velocity to your block.
3. On running plays, keep your head down, snap the ball, and push like hell with your legs. On pass plays, keep your head up. When (not if) you get hit, you’ll go back instead of down. You’ll want to be going back anyway, since you’re pass-blocking.
4. For the #3 tip, try to find a comfortable balance that won’t tell the defense what’s coming. If your opposing nose tackle finds you staring him in the eye, he’ll know you’re passing. If he sees you looking at the turf, he’ll know you’re running. Try to find a mid-range that doesn’t tell the play until the ball is snapped.
There’s an old story defensive linemen pass around about reading offensive plays. If you look at an O-line player with his hand on the ground, and his knuckles are white, he’s coming forward (leaning forward on your hand makes the blood drain out). If his knuckles aren’t pressed hard into the ground, he’ll be backing up.
5. Wear a cup. Center is probably the only position in football that really needs a cup.

Your Own Day Care Center – Tips And Tricks To Make Your Home A Day Care Center!
Having children all around your house and taking care of them in your own way can be an amazing experience. It is a great way for you to earn while you do something which you love doing. However, the whole process of converting your house into a day care centre can be a little tricky. You need to take care of many things before you open up the ideal day care centre for all the little ones in your neighborhood.
The first step of all is your decision relating to the number of kids you want to take care of. This will help you decide whether to get a license or not. License is not really necessary in many states. However, if you plan to take care of more than four of five children, you will need to get a license for doing so. This process can be completed by visiting the local Child Care Licensing office. One more essential thing is that it would be really helpful if you finish off a course in CPR and pediatric first aid before opening up the perfect place for all those little ones in your area. This would help you in any case of emergency.
The next step is to scrutinize if your house is childproofed. All this depends on your decision o the number of children you are planning to take care of and their probable age group. You need to take all necessary steps if you are planning to take this up as a full time job. Childproofing materials are readily available at most of the local shops. Child proof latches on the cupboards and doors, outlet covers and apt safety gates on staircases can give you a great start. You can also opt for safety latches for the toilets as little children may fall off in the toilet and will not be able to get up by themselves.
The next step is to purchase all the necessary supplies. They range from high chairs, cribs, booster seats, plastic flatware, and extra sippy cups to a variety of toys and outdoor playing equipment. You will receive a list of the necessaries to be bought once you are done with the licensing process. You must make sure that no toys have been retracted and all your purchases match the prescribed safety standards. You can also buy coloring books, water colors, crayons and safety scissors for the little ones.
The next things you must remember to get are the first aid supplies. You need to stock up lots of disinfectants, anti-biotic ointments, band-aids, burn sprays, sun-block lotions, calamine cream etc. it often proves beneficial to have children’s Tylenol and Ibuprofen on hand. However, remember that these should not be used without the parent’s consent and approval.
The promotion and advertisement of your day care centre can be done through classified ads, word of mouth, fliers and all other similar modes. Make sure you have an interview sheet ready while you are meeting up a child for the first time. It should contain all the necessary questions like allergies (drug, food and other), emergency contacts, favorite hobbies and activities, past day care history if any, dislikes and any other information that you think is necessary. You need to clearly talk to the parents about the timings, pick and drop facilities, mode and amount of payment, services which you would provide and services which you are ready to provide if needed etc. you can print these policies and get the signature of the parents so that disputes can be avoided in the future.
Once you are sure to have completed all these steps, be confident about having a fun filled and exciting career ahead.
