will dying my hair ruin the bits that haven’t been tipped or the hair that hasn’t grown yet?

I’ve never dyed my hair before and was thinking of getting the ends tipped bright pink. My friend was telling me that dying ‘virgin hair’ (?) will chemically alter all of your hair (even the bits still growing under the scalp) forever even if you are only tipping the ends and that it will grow back diferently. Is this true?

Additional info: my hair is dark brown and very smooth.

No… In order for the color to show up in the first place, you will have to bleach the tips of your hair before applying the pink dye. Bleach is really bad for your hair because it strips your hair of all it’s nutrients in which case, the texture or whatever of that hair might change maybe a little bit, this being your first time dying it, but the rest will be the same as ever. Depending on whether the pink has faded or not, you will have to reapply the pink dye, but this will still only be affecting the tips.The only way your hair will be chemically altered is if you dyed, bleached, or permed (etc.) all of your hair many many times.

Don’t ruin your skin by putting too much foundation that it would your natural color; Don’t overdo the eye shadow and mascara, just apply the right colors to compliment your eyes; Avoid putting on too much lipstick because you might end up sporting too much of a pout, like a bee had stung your lips. It’s advisable that you just spray on a small amount on your pulse points: a little below the ear and at the pulse points of your wrists.
